War child

The picture I have chosen is to represent survival and how Emmanuel Jal survived being a war child and lived through the pain he has gone through. I believe that this picture represent the motif of the document strongly this is because the flower is all alone in a dessert with no one and had to survive on his own with no support. He is the flower in the dessert surviving on his own .

Emmanuel  Jal  was one of some children who survived being a war child. Many times Emmanuel  has had thoughts on suicide  because of what he’s seen but he overcame that with his music. His music saved his life , he tells his story through music and lets people witness what it’s like to live in a in that kind of situation and be a war child.

Quote from We Bought A Zoo

” You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravely. And I promise you, something great will come of it.” – Benjamin Mee, We Bought A Zoo

You may find this quote to mean nothing but it really means something to me. In life you’ll always be scared to do or say that one thing. But if you’ve got 20 seconds to do whatever you want and to say whatever you want you’ll feel so much better. The reason I chose this quote above others is because of what it mostly says when its says, “twenty seconds of just embarrassing yourself”, I believe that this would be really good for some people just to embarrasses themselves for 20 seconds. How it relates to my life is because I’ll be scared to do something and all I need is 20 seconds to do that one thing I’m scared to do and everything will come out great. In many ways this quote can be motivational to many people . Having that 20 second to do anything can lead to great accomplishments in peoples life.
